The Peugeot GT10: A Blast from the Past on Two Wheels

0

The Peugeot GT10, produced from 1973 to 1978, brought simplicity and charm to the moped scene. Weighing just 47 kg, it was light and easy to handle. With a 3.7-liter fuel tank, it offered practicality for city rides. Its single-cylinder, 49cc two-stroke engine provided 1.9 horsepower at 5,500 rpm—modest but effective.

The GT10 had an air-cooled system paired with a 12mm Gurtner carburetor, ensuring smooth performance. Ignition came from a 6v magnetic flywheel, adding vintage flair. Riders started it by pedaling, embracing old-school cool. The automatic variator and belt transmission kept rides easy and smooth, perfect for laid-back cruising.

The GT10’s cycle parts brought serious appeal, showcasing a tubular frame combined with pressed sheet metal for durability and style. Up front, the telescopic fork absorbed bumps smoothly, giving riders that coveted comfortable glide. Meanwhile, the rear swingarm, paired with telescopic shock absorbers, added a cushioned feel for long rides. Both the front and rear had solid 80mm drum brakes, ensuring reliable stopping power even in tight urban spaces.

To top it off, the GT10 sported 10-inch tires, perfectly sized for balanced handling and an agile ride. This setup gave the GT10 a nimble, responsive feel, perfect for cruising escapes. Altogether, these specs made the Peugeot GT10 a true classic. It blended practical design with that must-have retro flair that still turns heads today. This is yet another custom build created by Mopeds Style. Each project showcases their unique design approach and craftsmanship, highlighting their dedication to the art of moped customization.

The EBR chrome forks add a touch of retro shine, catching eyes wherever you ride. The green-painted wheels pop against the chrome reach shocks, giving the bike a bold, contrasting look. The gray-painted frame, fenders, and covers create a sleek, minimalist vibe. Meanwhile, black stripes on the fenders bring that extra cool, vintage detail.

To top it off, a small tail light completes the aesthetic, nodding to understated style. These features make this moped a head-turner, perfect for cruising in fashion.

Engine

The MVT cylinder kit brings serious power, perfect for riders craving that extra edge. The Doppler ER3 variator ensures smoother acceleration, adding finesse to every twist of the throttle. Paired with the Doppler clutch pulley, it creates seamless gear transitions for a laid-back, responsive ride. The Dellorto 17mm PHBG carburetor feeds the engine efficiently, boosting performance without losing that vintage touch.

For the final flourish, the Simonini circuit exhaust brings a punchy, raw sound. It adds character, making the moped roar with style.
