LTD Free Spirit from Moped Work Shop LA. To me, this is what a step-through version of a Puch Magnum LTD should be. The Free Spirit is a Puch moped model sold by Sears. The frame is similar to that of a Magnum. Both models are some of the bigger mopeds manufactured. They came with taller forks than the Maxi or Pinto. The rear sing-arms are tubular as opposed to stamped metal like the Maxi and Pinto. Some like to swap the forks and swing arm to their Maxi or Pinto builds because of the length and quality.
Moped Work Shop LA, is a free monthly class where students build a vintage moped. At the end of the class build, one of the students keeps the moped being built by the group. Students show up to the workshop and learn how to work on vintage mopeds. They receive raffle tickets for their attendance. This is how the moped is awarded to one of the students.
