Honda Hobbit PA50ii mopeds are another of my favorite mopeds. They are vintage mopeds with variated transmissions. This Hobbit was built by iamplor (https://www.instagram.com/iamplor/), this is the build before undergoing its current transformation into a top tank.
One reason Hobbit mopeds are popular is because of the power potential of the engine. The PA50II model has large transfers and “breathes” well. Installing a performance exhaust and tuning the carburetor alone unlocks some of its power potentials.

Nice Ride, i just got a 78 that needs a clutc h and variator, its all missing, do you know where i could get everything on the left side of the engine? Ralph
Some places I would start with is MopedDivision.com, Treatland.tv, or DosCycles.com. Dos Cycles has some used inventory too, so if they do not have the clutch and variator new they might have a good used one off of a parts bike.
Is bike for sale how much
I’m not sure. This is the owner’s IG account https://www.instagram.com/iamplor/ send them a DM.
I am getting a yellow 1979 Honda Hobbit PA50 running, after decades in the shed. One question, do the lights work only with the engine running? I don’t see any battery location. Thanks!
Hey Rick,
Yes, the headlight and tail light work when the engine is running. Some Hobbit models have a battery, but that battery is to help power the blinkers.
