Today’s Moped of the Day is a stock 1977 Tomos A3. This Tomos A3 has some fresh paint and some nice details. Classic step-through 50cc reliable moped that looks good.
TOMOS A3 APPEARANCE
It’s easy to see a color scheme with this restoration. The moped was custom painted blue. The wheels and various accent parts were painted orange. The nipples on the spokes were hand-painted to match the frame of the moped. “M” bars are installed with orange grips. Translucent orange BMX pedals add to the color scheme. The original seat is upholstered with a nice shade of tan leather with the Tomos logo stitched on the rear of it in orange. New decals were made with some orange stroke around the Tomos name. Whitewall tires complete the vintage look of this moped restoration.
MODS
The factory taillight was replaced with some custom L.E.D. taillights. The small buckets that hold each L.E.D. bulb are made to look as part of the rear fender and not as an addition.
ENGINE
The engine was kept stock. It was rebuilt with new seals, bearings, and gaskets. Detail work on the ignition cover of the engine was added. The Tomos logo is painted to the same accent orange as well as the drive gear cover. The original exhaust was cut for appearance.
Who owns this moped now ?
Not sure, We like what you did with this A3 Tomos and wanted to share it.
It took me a year to build this moped , sold it a few years ago , was wondering who owned it now . Maybe wanting to buy it back .
I’ll ask around the community about it and maybe we can help you find the current owner.
