The Swinger 1 is one of four moped models you could choose from the JCPenney catalog in the 1970s. It is the base model of the four, and now one of the rarer of the four. A Swinger1 has a hardtail and rigid forks. The other three models all came with a spring and fork suspension. That unique frame design paired with the same tank as a Pinto help to make it a collector’s item.
Moped Luau built his Swinger or Pinto into a clean moped with a cruiser or chopper feel. I’ve said it before, I love how one of a kind you can build a moped by using parts from other makes and models. This Pinto is a good example of that with the wheel and engine choices.

I have imagined that mopeds are great for van life, they are not difficult to transport.
