Hot ‘N’ Readyz are an official moped army branch in Chicago. The Hot ‘N’ Readyz hosted their Chicago Moped Rally the last weekend of June 2018. It was a blast riding through the large city of Chicago on vintage mopeds. Here are some of the mopeds that were there on the Saturday ride.
The rally started Friday night at an underground parking lot that was used for the rally head quarters in down town Chicago. A night ride took the rally group to the first stop at the Adler Planetarium with an awesome night time skyline view of the city. A blast through Wacker Drive in the tunnel/lower ground street used for the filming of Dark Knight followed after the lake front stop. The next stop was to Cobra Lounge for drinks, food, and hangs. Then back to the rally HQ to rest up for Saturday.
Saturday was a long sunny and warm Summer through the city outside of down town to a food stop at Super Dawg. After lunch it was an open ride to the beach. This part of the ride had more open roads and less city stop signs or stop lights. We left the beach after some time and headed back to rally HQ for the evening party and raffle. We stopped at a fountain in front of Lincoln Park Zoo for a surprise proposal. Hot ‘N’ Readyz fed the group some infamous Chicago pizza from Little Caesars.
Sunday was a shop hang visit and BBQ at Tony’s Stockyard Garage. Stockyard Garage restores and modifies vintage motorcycles.
More of the mopeds from the rally, and a slide show from the youtube channel.
I am in DeKalb and have a running 1956 Peugeot. However, the clutch needs to be rebuilt. Is there a video on how to remove and rebuild the clutch? Is there someone in my area that I can contact for help? The manual is no roadmap to success.
thanks!
