1978 Honda Paladin NC50V, what better “NoPed” to share on the blog than this. This came across my Instagram feed a while back. Some moped people love a NoPed, others not so much. Even if you don’t like this build style, you would have to admit SubArm did an excellent job.
What is a NoPed? A two-stroke bike similar to a moped that doesn’t come with pedals. Hence NoPed, for no pedals. A few manufacturers built similar bikes so they definitely have a look too them. The Honda Express, Yamaha QT50, and Suzuki FA50 are a few of the common NoPed models. They have two-stroke engines similar to mopeds. Some of the parts are interchangeable with moped parts. Because of the engine and swappable moped parts, they are still recognized as mopeds but don’t come with pedals.
The Honda Paladin is similar to a Honda Express NC50 and Express II NA50. The frame for the Paladin is a mix of the NC50 and NA50 Express frames. The design looks close to the NC50 but is fully tubular like the NA50. The seat and gas tank are designed like the NA50.
