Fantic Issimo | MOPED OF THE DAY

Fantic Issimo

Fantic Issimo Sport is a moped model from Fantic Motors.  Fantic Motors is a motorcycle manufacture from Italy.  In their early years, they focused on small engine motorcycles and mopeds.  The company is still in business with a dirt bike line of motorcycles.

The mopeds are powered by a special version of the Minarelli V1.  It is specific to their mopeds.  The engines come in a kickstart or pedal start options.

One difference I came to learn from researching this moped is the way pedals are used on the pedal option.  Most Minarelli V1 engines have the pedal mechanism integrated into the engine.  So the pedals mount to the engine itself.  The Fantic Motors V1 does not have the pedals integrated into the engine.  The pedals and crank mount to the moped similar to a Puch moped.

Due to the pedals and crank a second chain and sprocket are needed for “bike” mode.  Unlike Puch that has the bike chain and drive chain on separate sides of the rear wheel, the Fantic V1 has both chains on the same side of the wheel. The cylinder head and fan cover housings is different from other V1 engines as well.

Hi there, hope youre doing well!

I came across this article about this moped as I am looking for information on these with very little success.

I am getting a 1978 Fantic Motor Issimo TX310 this weekend and I am trying to get the overall length of the bike so i can clean an area out to park put it for the winter. Would you be able to tell me what the length is from the extremity of each tire? Additionally, living in Montreal, Canada, there is zero info about this bike anywhere here. Would you know of a website or companies that I could order parts from if i need them? I also need aftermarket turn signals as my province requires them.

    Thanks!!

Most mopeds are roughly 70 inches in length from wheel to wheel. Good parts suppliers for mopeds in the USA and might be able to ship to Canada are doscycles.com and treatland.tv
