Mobylette, also known as Motobecane, is a moped brand in Brazil.  This is a 1989 Caloi Mobylette XR50 fully restored.  Caloi is a bicycle company in Brazil, they acquired the Mobylette brand. Caloi and other bicycle companies at the time sold mopeds under their brands.   These brands used the moped platform because of the relaxed requirements for operating 49cc engines.

XR50 mopeds are powered by a 3 horsepower two-stroke Moby engine.  The automatic clutch system is the same as other CVT Motobecane 50V models.  Moby AV10 parts should interchange with these engines.

The Caloi Mobylette XR50 model is a dual-sport step-through design.  It has taller rear shocks and traditional front forks.  These forks are bigger than that of a Motobecane 50V.  The fuel tank is built into the frame and filled by lifting the seat forward.

Fun fact, Caloi translates from Portuguese to Hello in English.

Polished wheels, pedal arms, and forks.  The Wheels were assembled from the rim to the hubs.  They had all the parts cleaned and then laced the spoke wheels.  New innertubes and tires of course.  A lot of new parts from the seat to the controls, levers, pedals, and more.
