1978 Tomos Bullet A3

This 1978 Tomos Bullet A3, built by William (https://www.instagram.com/billyba72/) of the Brute Squad Moped Club (https://www.instagram.com/brutesquadmopedclub/)  is Today’s moped of the day.  William brought this vintage A3 Bullet back to life and gave it an update and upgrades.  The #copperBullet build started with a complete and original blue Tomos Bullet.  The fenders were removed and the stock spoke wheels were upgraded to some Tomos “Web” mags.

The forks were modified to fit a new set of mid-rise handlebars.  The old 1978 Tomos Bullet A3 seat was replaced with a lower-profile Tomos racer seat.  The old soft rear shocks were upgraded with new chrome adjustable shocks.  An MLM crossbar was added for more support and rigidity.   Needed for the new go-fast engine parts.

William rebuilt the old A3 engine with a new crank.  Then he upgraded the small iron piston port cylinder to a 70cc Airsal reed kit with a high compression head.  A bigger carburetor paired with an intake feed air/fuel to the new kit.  A Techno circuit exhaust finishes out the speed mods.

William upgraded the electrical system as well.  The headlight is a 5000 lumens LED headlamp.  A battery pack powers the new headlight.  A power port/cigarette lighter mod charges the battery pack.  That power port gets its juice from the 80-watt stator upgrade.  The points ignition system was also upgraded to a CDI system.  The moped has a chain pull kill switch with a lucky rabbit’s foot on the end.
